Performing Arts

The provision of performing arts plays a pivotal role in fostering holistic development and enriching the educational experience of students. Participating in performing arts disciplines not only allows students to express themselves but also contributes to their cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Drama

With a strong emphasis on collaboration, our Drama ECA programme helps students to develop good communication skills and a broad appreciation of theatre within a lively and diverse learning environment.

Students are encouraged to explore, experience and enjoy becoming a new character, while having fun with voice and learning how to express themselves clearly and with confidence.

Our Senior and Primary school productions are highlights of the school year.

The school productions provide an exciting opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of performing arts and showcase their talents. Students can engage in a variety of activities and exercises designed to help them develop their skills in acting, stagecraft, and theatrical design. This includes but not limited to improvisation exercises, scene work, monologues, and group performances.

Music

Music as an ECA is a particular strength of the school, with students encouraged to try a wide variety of instruments and join bands and dance troupes.

In our music rooms, students have access to a wide range of traditional and modern instruments and the latest music composition software.

We also work closely with the Centre for Musical Arts, one of Dubai’s premier instrumental music lessons providers.

    Guitar

We offer Beginner and Intermediate level Guitar ECA studies once a week. The Beginner sessions are open to students when they reach Grade 10 and teaches them how to play chords, strum, and grasp the basics of how to use the instrument as a tool for song writing.  Students who complete the Beginner ECA are then eligible to move up to Intermediate where they learn how to play melodies and combine these with the chords already learnt. Guitars can be borrowed from the school for use throughout ECA programmes.
